About Joy Pruitt

Joy Pruitt Family

Artistic, eclectic and distinctly custom images balanced with exemplary service is the mission of Joy Pruitt Photography.

"Exemplary customer service is essential to building a successful business. If one person is happy, they pass my card along to a friend and before long; I not only have repeat customers, but sometimes even new friends. The friends I've made through my business are a blessing."

A native Texan, my family and I have recently relocated to Twin Falls, ID. I plan to become deeply connected with the community and share my passion for creating unique and distinctive images.

My love of photography grew from capturing my children's milestones and memories. Now, in my growing business, I am sincerely dedicated to my clients' changing and individual needs. Having lived in many places throughout Texas, Oklahoma and other parts of the U.S., I recognize that every family has its own traditions, culture, and other preferences, so I strive to better serve my clients by learning about them before a shoot. I also endeavor to continue my professional growth by taking courses and attending major trade shows where I learn the newest technology and trends in digital photography. I apply new skills and techniques to my own out-of-the-box style. Because there is more to photography than just taking pictures, I also seek out anything new I can learn about marketing, branding, and accountability. I have found this website, as well as Facebook, and blog very effective in promoting my work. When I can't make it to a trade show or class, I pick up photography books and read, read, read, so that I'm always learning better ways to create the best images for my clients.

My specialization is family and high school senior photography but I have also freelanced for publications in South East Texas as well as covering major community events, parties, and social engagements. I recently completed a coffee table book project, "Rich With Opportunity, Images of Beaumont and Jefferson County", where I was the featured photographer. The book, published by Historical Publishing, will be available spring of 2011 through the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce and Amazon.com. Although families are my specialty, I enjoy the freedom that comes with freelancing for parties and other events. It creates networking opportunities with the intention of building lasting relationships with the community. It also provides occasion for "in the moment" shots that can be turned into fun and artistic pieces.

I am thrilled to be in The Magic Valley and hope put down deep roots in the and establish a successful business and longstanding relationships.

I have been married to my husband, Chris, for 19 years. We have three super kids, Jason, Walter and Ellie, the best doggie in the world and two very spoiled and loved cats.
